Topic: Fis-control - does it replace the need for a vag tool?

Hi there, I have recently bought a mk1 TT (8n) and am looking at options for diagnostics and resetting fault codes (airbag etc), plus adding gauges (Boost, EG temp) Etc for live data.

I have a couple of standard OBD2 devices, however don't have any VAG type. I've looked at the Ross-tech VCCS Tools, Vag scanners Etc, and recently found this device.

Can someone please confirm whether the fis-control will suit the application I'm after? If so, it will be the logical choice.

I want something that will facilitate diagnostics, tuning, service and maintenance of my 1999 tt, so I don't have to buy additional devices.

Hi,

I am pretty sure that the FIS-Control is the right tool for you.

It can show all measurement data of all control units in the car.
It can read all diagnostic codes (and show clear text description for most of them)
It can clear the diagnostic codes
It allows to attach two EGT sensors (type-K)
It can be used as an interface for PC tools like VAG-COM, VCDS-lite, WBH-Diag, VAG EEPROM Programmer
It can be used as interface for the Torque Pro app

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your advice. Can you advise me which version of the fis-control is required for my vehicle thanks?

Re: Fis-control - does it replace the need for a vag tool?

You have the choice.

Here is the the full version for the TT 8N:
https://www.turbozentrum.de/en/universa … e/a-61566/

And the light version:
https://www.turbozentrum.de/en/showroom … e/a-66523/

The light version has no interface for the PC tools and additional sensors, but it can show the live data of the control units and can read and clear diagnostic codes (though it won't show the clear text descriptions, but only the number of the error code).

Please also read the compatibility notes for the TT here:

I would like to check pricing and shipping, but the link is saying there is 0 stock??

Re: Fis-control - does it replace the need for a vag tool?

Since the Turbozentrum is responsible for the manufacturing and selling of the FIS-Control, I don't have any insights about availablility and delivery time.
Please contact the Turbozentrum directly:

Re: Fis-control - does it replace the need for a vag tool?

Ok, I've had some pricing for Supply &  shipping, however I think there is a mistake, as shipping is ~120 euros.

This is a bit embarrassing, and just seems like price gouging.

Re: Fis-control - does it replace the need for a vag tool?

Wow, the shipping is really expensive. But as I see, this is the normal price for DHL "insured shipping". Uninsured delivery "Deutsche Post Maxibrief international mit Rückschein" is just 10 Euros. Maybe you can ask if the Turbozentrum also offers uninsured shipping.
