I'd be quite interested in your findings. I have tested the FIS-Control over DDP and it wasn't usable fully with the OEM screen, so I 'd be interested to see if it works better with the ColorMFA, even I I can't retain radio data, I'd like to at least keep the CANBUS communication to the radio for power, etc.
I know it should be doable as this user and a few others have posted ColorMFA+FISControl, or at least teased it.

Hi mongoose_711,
how did you wire it to Canbus?
Pin 8/9 from Green 32 Plug to E2/4 of Fis Control?

How did you code your Cluster? Lower than 16000?

Thanks

E4 to Cluster Green pin 8
E2 to Cluster Green pin 9

I already had the cluster coded to >16000 as I have a radio that outputs to the FIS, however I have to pull the radio or it's fuse and refresh the CANBUS listing in the gateway for the FISControl to show up, and partially work.

I know the cluster I have is 1J5-920-846c, which is Immo3, full FIS running VWK501MH (software version is identified by: 01.00, 01.10, or 00.92 in the top right corner of the sticker on the cluster, or by checking the cluster bin file).

It should support graphics as it worked previously in a car with a CANBUS OEM Navi radio and displayed fine.

I would wire it to 3LB and have full functionality that way, however when I set the FIS-Control to 3LB and refresh the Gateway listing, my radio and some other CANBUS devices no longer work.

I love your product, but it is quite frustrating that I can't use it fully without crippling my car, or using CANBUS mode which is missing features and locks up if I click the wrong feature.

I've searched the forum, and I know I'm not the only one that would benefit from CANBUS mode working properly if you are able to look into it further at some point.

Hello,

I have FIS-Control in a MKIV Jetta, and have it wired to CANBUS so it would work with radio, etc.

I am missing having the graphs, start logo, etc. that are available when on 3LB. Since the 8N TT is similar, using CANBUS for cluster and has the graphics, is this something that could be done as well on this platform?

From what I understand the 3LB protocol is just a modified SPI display connection. Would it be possible to find a display with suitable resolution and have the FIS-Control display on there instead of the cluster's internal screen?

I'll add in that I would also be interested in seeing graphic support over CANBUS. I can only assume there must be some support, as the TMC/MFD, and Touareg RNS2 writes arrows, etc to the FIS via CANBUS. Not sure how many requests you typically need to start looking into a feature, but I'm sure a few of us OEM+ modders would appreciate it.

Hi,

I added support for the CAN bus of the Mk4 some weeks ago. See here:
http://fis-control.de/punBB/viewtopic.p … 1927#p1927

But actually I don't think that anyone is using it already. So it is not well tested and there is the risk for you, that it won't work in your car. Especially as I haven't been able to test compatibilty with the I-System module.

Thank you for you reply.
I assume the pins used for 3LB could be moved to the CAN locations for this change?
I read the linked ppost and in mentions that the pixel graphics are not supported, is this a fix in the works or they will never be supported via CAN?
Thanks again

There was a few threads about enabling CANBUS on MKIV/B5.5 clusters instead of 3LB. I would also be interested in this as my radio (Delta6) and steering wheel controls (Brazilian I-System module controlling FIS) are CANBUS.
