Hello again Stefan,

Yes, I read the "Collections" chapter in the instruction manual, but But the instruction manual does not make it clear what to put in the section of "Control unit CAN Group Value"  inside the "Presets" section. Or at least I did not understand it at first :-S

Tell you, that I have already managed to program the "PRESET" number 9 (for example), as "COLLECTION" number 1 (6 lines). But I had to program it manually with the right handle, because with "SEND SETTINGS" and "LOAD SETTINGS" the configuration of the FIS-Control, and exporting it to my pc (and loading the configuration into the "WEB configurator", It does not load correctly the values of the boxes of the section of "collections", I do not know why(I've tried three times and nothing. I always had the first line correctly but not the rest of the boxes, until the number 6) :-S

Well, I've finally managed to program it, but ... sniff snifff ... Names or labels do not appear! :-(

I have already tested the inclusion of text tags for the presets with the html congurator. To comment that it was not what I expected.

- I don't remember that with http://www.fis-control.de/config_en.html I could add names to presets. In that case no icons are needed :-P thanks.


- Sorry, I did not know the stopwatch option. I'm going to try a 100-200 and I'll tell you how it works. However, I was referring to a menu with an "exclusive" aspect, like this:

- Regarding to "New option to view an Oil level in millimeters with a graphical icon of Oil Dipstick for example ..." I had seen in other devices, something similar to this (Level sensor G266 and the oil temperature, under the crankcase. Intruments channel section in vag-com):

Why does not stefan want to implement that option?  Not all "tachos" can activate that option, at least I do not know how to do it (if you know, tell me please :-) ). Honestly, as a funny option, I'd like this more, than the snake game :-P

Hello Stefan,

I write a few suggestions in case you want to take them into account to improve or add functionalities to FIS-Control.
(I own a vw golf mk4)


- Custom icons or texts for presets. Possibility to add icons or custom texts to the presets ... (With a high number of presets, I often confuse for example the different temperatures (oil temperature, IAT, coolant ...)

- New menu with a "Chronograph" to measure the time in a 0-100 km/h and 100-200 Km/h.

- New option to view an Oil level in millimeters with a graphical icon of Oil Dipstick for example ...

- Power and torque measurement option (hp and nm.)

- Possibility of calibrating the ratio of the gearbox for each of the gears (1 gear, 2nd ...), In order that the measurements are as real as possible.

- Programming the Tempomat so that if for example, it exceeds 120 km/h the tacho emits a BEEP or a signal appears on the FIS screen.

- Option to enabled an Stagging needles with the ignition on. (RPMs and Speedometer for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UemISaIwxRo)

- Possibility of scheduling changes of oil or maintenance for kilometers traveled, and that will seen in the screen of the FIS.

- ECO MODE (alarm with an excesive comsuption)

Sorry for taking so long to answer. I have solved the problem. You were right, it was a problem in the settings, concretly in "user mods" :-S It's strange, because I had never used it.
I have been able to upgrade the firmware to version 9.18.2016, correctly :-D

Yes, I have a laptop with bluetooth, in fact, I have already connected the PC to "fis-control" on several occasions to send startlogos, logs, etc ... This afternoon I will extract the settings before erasing, and if you want, I send you these, by email.

Hello again Stefan,

I've updated the "FIS-Control" to version 2015.10.04, but still have the same problem. The menu is not responding :-(

However, I had saved in my PC, other APPs with old firmware that you had posted:

1) 2016-08-04_-_FIS-Control_Updater.apk - doesn't work :-(
2) 2016-05-15_-_FIS-Control_Updater.apk - doesn't work :-(
3) 2016-08-09-fis.apk - doesn't work :-(
4) 2015-10-04-fis.apk - doesn't work :-(
5) 2015-06-08_-_FIS-Control_Updater.apk - it works!!! :-D

Anyway, there is one thing I do not understand:
How is it possible that before upgrading to versions August and september 2016, the fis-control it worked me properly with firmware versions 2016?

That screenshot, is my old version of firmware. Unfortunately, I can't find the APP of this version on my computer. You have it?

As for your question ... yes, I have installed in my Android phone the "FIS-control" APP.(2016.09.17 version). I followed the 8 steps you mention me, but I can not solve my problem. I still happens the same. I can't access to the FIS-control menu. it is locked and not response to any button :-(

Hello Stefan,

I started having problems with "fis-control" since I updated the firmware to version 2016.08.08 and then (For trying to see if improvement) to version 2016.09.17. (I still have the same problem)

The problem is that the top button not respond to a long press more than two seconds, and I can not access the menu (the start logo if it works)..

I realized two things:

1) If I let start the boot, and then, I press more than two seconds the top button to access the menu, the number of times I can access to the menu,  is 1 or 2 times every 30 attempts.

2) If I start the contact, and I begin to press the top button constantly, I access the menu to the "FIS-control", 1 or 2 times out of 5 attempts.

My FIS-control was bought on july of 2016 in turbozentrum. The "FIS-control" has worked correctly until 15 days ago, when I upgraded the firmware. (when I updated from 2016-07-12 to 2016-08-08 version, and then, to 2016.09.17 version).


Any idea? many thanks for all and best regards. (my car is a VW Golf MK4 from 2002)
