Topic: FIS-Control moved to new car

Hi Stefan

I have moved my FIS-Control 2.x, Engine and ECU to different car

Car: Golf 4 1999.5
Cluster: Full FIS IMMO 3, Post 2001

FIS FW 2015

1. I reset to factory default
2. Im able to see the FIS-Control menu and control it
3. Im able to connect the App via BT (I have set FIS to 3 wire and Cluster to CAN Telemetric)
4. Cluster coded with +16000
5. GateWay updated

But FIS control is not able to connect to any modules like 01 - ECU/Engine

Do you have an idea what has gone wrong for me?

I have also sent a different request on your email.

Thanks in advance
Michael Buch

Re: FIS-Control moved to new car

Is VCDS able to connect to your ECU?

Is the FIS-Control able to connect to the cluster (control unit 17)?

Is VCDS or something else still plugged to the OBD port?

- VCDS is working fine with both ECU 01 and 17 Cluster no fault codes

- No, FIS-Control is NOT able to connect to the cluster (control unit 17)

- OBD is unplugged when testing yes.

Re: FIS-Control moved to new car

If the FIS-Control can't even connect to control unit 17, please check the cable connection to socket B of the FIS-Control.

By the way, here is the pinout of the FIS-Control: https://fis-control.de/files/kabel.pdf
As you can see, the K-line is on pin B1.

I will do that tomorrow and revert, thanks for your quick replies.

Re: FIS-Control moved to new car

Hi Again, i'm sorry for the delay. Work takes up a lot of spare time smile

I have check the plugs and wires and they seem fine.
I have noticed another funny thing, i'm not getting a low fuel warning in the display anymore. Not sure if this is related.

I'm also unsuccessful trying to upgrade fw via the Android app.
I can read current fw but the fw upgrade just freeze when selecting the file.

Re: FIS-Control moved to new car

Hi,

when you conencted the app to the FIS-Control, you can send "DELETE FIRMWARE". Now restart the ignition and the app.
You should now see the letter "C" in the text window of the app.
Now try again to send the new firmware.

Re: FIS-Control moved to new car

Deleting the fw seem to have solved all issues with moving it to the new car.
I'm running on the untested FW you sent to me earlier.

Everything seem to work as intended also my usermod, thank you very much big_smile

I will play around with it for a couple of days and also see if my fuel warning comes back, then I will revert with any feedback on the untested FW.

Again thank for awesome support
