Topic: C5 RS6 missing QUATTRO + Gecko logo

Thanks to Stefan's support I've got the FIS Control Unit working.

One that happened as a result is that the QUATTRO & Gecko logo no longer show anywhere.

I used to see it all the time, I believe on turning the ignition on, or engine start. I can't remember which.

I did clear settings and delete firmware.

1) does anyone know if this was factory Audi or part of the FIS?
2) can anyone tell me how I can get it back?

Hi, to recover the default startlogos, download the ""Collection of startlogos" from the Download section here: https://fis-control.de/index_en.html

Extract that ZIP file and you will find a "startlogo.dat" file.

In the FIS-Control menu go to SETTINGS -> FLASH MEMORY -> LOAD LOGO -> BLUETOOTH.
Now use the Android App to send the startlogo.dat to teh FIS-Control.
Only thing left now is to enable the Startlogo option at SETTINGS -> STARTLOGO

hi,
i've made myself a 64x88 monochrome tiff logo.
when i load the file i get the attached.
do i need to convert the tiff file to a dat file?
can you see anything wrong with the tiff?

i just found an extra pixel in the S in RS6.

I also worked out that not all the black text was black as i converted a jpeg to tiff.
i'm starting to wonder if that is the issue.

i tweeked the quattro logo and the gecko
this is the final verison
but i still get the issue shown above

Hi, your last logo is fine and should work. But you have to convert it with the Startlogo tool before transfering it to the FIS-Control.

i see. i misunderstood the instructions.
all sorted now.
i'm very happy with the start logo
now on to reinstall the presets and get the boost settings right. but thats for another day
