Topic: Audi S1 FIS-Control not working

Hello!

I just installed the FIS-Control module in my Audi S1. I have te MMI 3G+.

I followed this persons instructions: https://www.a1talk.de/threads/fis-contr … -s1.11379/ .

After installing the Fis module, I started my car up and everything works like before. My buttons operate, my radio works... But I don't get the Fis screen. It seemes like nothing has changed... Do i have to do something to get to the Fis screen to show? Or are the instruction of the German guy not correct?

(When I started the car, the only thing I did was turn the key)

Hi, I changed the behaviour a little bit. The FIS-Control will not show anything on the screen unless it received a configuration file, so that it knows in which car model it is installed.

You should prepare a valid config file with the configurator: https://fis-control.de/mmi.html

If you turn on the ignition, the FIS-Control should be found via Bluetooth for a minute (after a minute without a connection, the Bluetooth module of the FIS-Control will turn off).
Now connect the Android app to your FIS-Control and upload at least the current firmware and your new config file. Both can be done with the "MMI: Fast upload" option in the app. Please wait about 30 seconds after you transferred the new firmware before you restart the ignition.

Hello,

thanks for your response. I tried do to everything you said and i managed to get the gauges on my screen. However the gauges are empty. They have no value and no needles. I think i used the wrong ECU datasheet. So i read my ecu with the android app. I don't know what datasheet i should be using.


(I was able to read the battery voltage on the second screen)

Hi, your ECU uses dataset "EV_ECM20TFS0208X0906259_001006".

Thank you very much!!

The 3 gauges work perfectlt, but now the problem is that i wanted to configure the 2nd table. I think I did everything correctly, i used the same ECU dataset. All the information that i manually put in I can see, but the actual values don't appear?

Hi, this is a common problem. Many control units do not allow to read more than 8 parameters at once.
Keep two entries of the table <empty> and it will work.
