Topic: cccccccc

Hello,
I have a 2002 C5 RS6. I bought the FIS Control Unit from Turbozentrum. The garage I use installed the hardware but couldn't get it to work.

I turn the ignition on holding the down button.
I am able to connect to FIS-CONTROL via bluetooth
I have the Android FIS-Control Updater.

When I connect I just get a line of Cs which gets longer and longer. Like this:

ccccccccccccc

I am not able to get a response with firmware version/send

Can anyone help me set the firmware so I can then get started and try to get this to work?

I am really at a loss and would appreciate some help

Re: cccccccc

Hi,

the CCCCC mean that the FIS-Control is software-loading mode and is waiting for a new firmware file.
You can download the latest firmware here (see the Download section on the right):
https://fis-control.de/index_en.html

Now use the Android app: Click "Upload file to FIS-Control" and pick the downloaded firmware file.
After about 3 minutes the update should be complete and you can cycle the ignition to restart the FIS-Control.

Re: cccccccc

I'm one step closer!
Thanks

Re: cccccccc

Having used the App to set the FIS Control & Cluster... no joy

Is there a way I can diagnose what is wrong?

Re: cccccccc

Hi, please try the followinf codings:
- FIS-Control: Telematics/3LB
- Cluster: CAN Telematics

After coding is complete, restart the ignition and try to open the FIS-Control menu by doing a long press to the up button at the side of the wiper control stalk.

Re: cccccccc

Thanks for the advice.
I followed the guide here:
https://fis-control.de/manual.html

and this video:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=D2X7SxtrN … =emb_title

The two settings mentioned have not resulted in being able to access the menu.

Re: cccccccc

Strange.
Could you also do
- Cluster; 3LB off
and try again

Re: cccccccc

No luck I'm afraid

Re: cccccccc

The car had the navigation and a phone.
Neither are still installed in the car.

Re: cccccccc

Then try
- FIS-Control: Navigation
- Cluster: Navigation

Re: cccccccc

I connected via Bluetooth
Sent both commands
Turned off ignition
Turned on ignition
Held up button

No luck

Re: cccccccc

sorry i'm not being of much help!

Re: cccccccc

Are you still able to operate the trip computer with the buttons of the wiper control stalk?

Re: cccccccc

It now works!

I went down the this morning and tried the buttons for the trip computer, they worked, held down the up and I was in the FIS menu!

What's odd is if I repeat the process by turning off the ignition it only works 1 out 5 or so goes.

Further, the I am also not able to access the trip computer when I can't access the FIS.

Is there a reason why it would be intermittent? Scrolling through settings maybe?

I read it scrolls through until it can interact with the screen. Here it is, but then fails to do so next time.

Re: cccccccc

also, I used to see the word Quattro and the Audi gecko when I started the car.

These have gone.

Do you know if these were part of the FIS for I wiped it?

Or OEM Audi?

Re: cccccccc

Happy to have got this far!

Re: cccccccc

It now makes a little more sense

I can access the FIS menu when in Reverse or Drive. I cannot when in Park or Neutral.

There were very few occasions when I could access the FIS menu while in Park.

The Autostart Preset 1 with Engine Start function works.

Is this as you would expect it to be?

Re: cccccccc

Normally it should be possible to show the FIS-Control also in P and N.
Is there some warning message shown on the display or just the trip computer?
(FIS-Control will not be able to override any warning messages on the FIS)

Re: cccccccc

That makes sense.
It might explain why I was struggling before.
Some Audi's have the message 'when stationary apply foot brake while selecting gear' in Park & Neutral.
Seems I can't remove that warning and it was overriding the FIS menu.
I understand the logic now. The engine autostart preset 1 also works.
Now it's time to set it all up!
Thanks for your help!
More appreciated
