I'd really like to help you, but I have no idea what went wrong. I have never seen a problem with partial downloads from the configurator.
Try downloading the config file to a different folder, or delete the old "fis_control.dat" first, before you download the new one.

Hi, vermutlich hast du im Preset 2 als Steuergerät nicht "01 MOTOR" sondern "01* MOTOR" ausgewählt. Das Sternchen bedeutet, dass das FIS-Control versucht, über den CAN-Bus eine Diagnose zu starten. Das kann beim 2000er S4 aber nicht funktionieren, da es dort kein Diagnose-CAN gibt. Das FIS-Control wird also vergeblich auf Antwort vom CAN-Bus warten. Das hat genau den von dir beschriebenen Effekt. Ich könnte das Problem in der Software abfangen, indem ich das FIS-Control nur für eine begrenzte Zeit warten lasse. Aber die eigentliche Lösung ist, das richtige Steuergerät auszuwählen.

There are no labels in that config file.
And there are some "USER MODS" enabled, that shoud not be enabled in your car. Please disable them all.
You can do this with the FIS-Control in your car. Go to SETTINGS -> USER MODS and disable all marked entries. Then save the settings with SETTINGS -> SAVE SETTINGS.

Please try to pair your laptop again with the FIS-Control.
Please remember that you always have to enable the Bluetooth module of the FIS-Control first. For example if you want to send your current settings from the FIS-Control to your laptop:
SETTINGS -> FLASH MEMORY -> SEND SETTINGS -> BLUETOOTH
You will see a blinking triangle in front of the BLUETOOTH line. That means the bluetooth module is active.

No you can pair your laptop (PIN: 1234). After pairing, the COM ports should be available. If this is not the case, it is a problem of your laptop/Windows. Do you have someone you can ask for help when it comes to Windows problems?

The COM ports should appear as soon as you paired your laptop with the FIS-Control via Bluetooth.

TeraTerm will receive the settings data from the FIS-Control and store it in a file. I named the file "settings" and placed it in my Download folder. You can call the file whatever you want and place it anywhere on your PC. Just remember where you put it, because this the file you want to open with the online configurator.

Dann ist da doch vielleicht noch die TMC-Box verbaut. Die müsstest du noch abklemmen.

hast du ein Navi, Telefon oder TMC-Box in deinem Skoda verbaut. Dann könnte es daran liegen.

Falls du die Update-App für Android auf deinem Telefon installiert hast, kannst du noch folgendes probieren:
- Halte die Runter-Taste am Wischerhebel gedrückt und schalte dabei die Zündung ein
- Start die App und wähle das FIS-Control aus
- Klick auf "Firmware version" und SEND... dann sollte im Textfenster eine Info kommen
- Klick auf "FIS-Control: Telematics/3LB" und SEND und warte auf dei Bestätigung im Textfenster
- Zündung neu starten

When you are in the "Tera Term: XMODEM Receive" window, you can select where to save the settings file.
The default folder seems to be the Tera Term program folder. You might find your settings file there.
