TeraTerm will receive the settings data from the FIS-Control and store it in a file. I named the file "settings" and placed it in my Download folder. You can call the file whatever you want and place it anywhere on your PC. Just remember where you put it, because this the file you want to open with the online configurator.

hast du ein Navi, Telefon oder TMC-Box in deinem Skoda verbaut. Dann könnte es daran liegen.

Falls du die Update-App für Android auf deinem Telefon installiert hast, kannst du noch folgendes probieren:
- Halte die Runter-Taste am Wischerhebel gedrückt und schalte dabei die Zündung ein
- Start die App und wähle das FIS-Control aus
- Klick auf "Firmware version" und SEND... dann sollte im Textfenster eine Info kommen
- Klick auf "FIS-Control: Telematics/3LB" und SEND und warte auf dei Bestätigung im Textfenster
- Zündung neu starten

When you are in the "Tera Term: XMODEM Receive" window, you can select where to save the settings file.
The default folder seems to be the Tera Term program folder. You might find your settings file there.

You are on the right track.
Before you can connect to the FIS-Control with TeraTerm, you have to set the FIS-Control in the correct mode:
SETTINGS -> FLASH MEMORY -> LOAD STARTLOGO -> BLUETOOTH

Now search for new Bluetooth devices with your laptop and pair the FIS-Control (PIN code is "1234").
Windows will add two serial ports to your system. When you start TeraTerm now, you will be able to select "Serial" and choose one of the ports. Only one of them will work, so you might have to try both.

You can now continue like I described in the second post of this thread.

Please try the snake game. If the snake game runs correctly, I know that the "draw pixels" functions of the FIS-Control are working with your cluster.

You have already downloaded the TeraTerm ZIP file, right?
Do a right-click on it and extract the files. There should be a ttermpro.exe file now.

The wrong settings in the user mods are my fault. The older firmwares had less options in the "user mods" menu. As I introduced new options, their state was undefined when using an old settings file. That means that some options could be enabled by default when upgrading to a new firmware.
I hope I can prevent this in the future.

You don't need to use a translator for the configurator page. There is an English version:

I explained how to export the settings from the FIS-Control in the second post of this thread:
Goto SETTINGS -> FLASH MEMORY -> SEND SETTINGS -> BLUETOOTH in the FIS-Control.
Now connect your laptop via bluetooth to the FIS-Control (Pin is "1234").
Start TeraTerm and goto File -> Transfer -> Xmodem -> Receive -> CRC

You will now have a config file on your laptop. Load this file in the configurator and edit the fields you want. Save the settings and send the file back to the FIS-Control.

I will try to provide a video tutorial in the next weeks as I see that this is a little complicated for people who never used such tools like TeraTerm.

Es gibt einige wenige A3-Tachos, die den Telematik-Kanal nicht unterstützen. Dann hättest du tatsächlich ein Problem.
Aber stelle erstmal sicher, dass das FIS-Control auch den Telematik-Kanal nutzt.
Das geht am einfachsten mit einem Android-Handy. Installiere dort die neueste FIS-Control Updater App.
Dann halte bitte die Reset-Taste am Wischerhebel gedrückt während du die Zündung einschaltest.
Jetzt kannst du dein Handy mit dem FIS-Control pairen und die App aufrufen. Klicke dann zuerst auf "Update FIS-Control" um die aktuelle Firmware auf das FIS-Control zu spielen.
Danach nochmal Zündung aus und mit gedrückter Runter-Taste wieder einschalten. Damit ist das FIS-Control im Konfigurations-Modus.
App nochmal starten und in der Liste "Channel: Telematik" auswählen und SEND drücken.

Hi, I see a possible reason for the problems in the config file.
Please open your config file in the online configurator and disable all "User mods" options.

After you have uploaded the corrected config file to the FIS-Control, you should be able to use the current firmware again.
